A Sacramento native, Dr. Shon Tyler began his academic path at Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies. However, he soon discovered his passion for dentistry. He completed his prerequisite courses at Portland State University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in 2023. Though he enjoyed his experience on the East Coast, Dr. Tyler felt a strong connection to return to Northern California.

To advance his skills, Dr. Tyler completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. This program provided exposure to a range of specialty cases and deepened his enthusiasm for comprehensive dental care.

In his free time, Dr. Tyler loves cooking, golfing, exploring new cycling trails, and following sports.
