Our office staff is experienced in processing dental insurance. As a courtesy, we will verify and file your claim with your insurance. We’re always happy to assist in verifying your coverage and eligibility for the treatment programs that we provide.

However, we remind you that your policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company, not between your insurance company and our office. We can make no guarantee of any estimated coverage, but we’ll do our best to see that you receive your maximum benefits. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. If you would like to know what your expected coverage will be, we will submit a pre-treatment estimate. Your insurer will generally send a detailed response within 4-6 weeks.

Most dental insurance policies will not cover the cost of cosmetic dental procedures. However, cosmetic procedures can sometimes be covered to 50% of the total cost. However, there generally has to be an established medical benefit for the procedure in addition to the aesthetic benefit. Luckily, many cosmetic dentistry procedures do support the lasting health of your teeth.

Although teeth whitening and gum contouring are almost never covered, it is possible to get veneers, bonding, and crowns covered in many circumstances. A dental exam can help establish that these procedures are necessary to help you maintain strong, healthy teeth.
